I’m always excited to bring you conversations that inspire growth and self-discovery. In our latest episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Curtis Knuth, a man whose life took an unexpected turn from sawdust to energy healing.
From Sawdust to Spiritual Awakening
Curtis’s story is a testament to the unexpected turns life can take. “I am a carpenter most of my life and last six years kind of had some catalysts in my life that a lot of people equate to is kind of awakened in your life and just come to some epiphanies,” he shared. This awakening led Curtis on a path of introspection and curiosity, ultimately guiding him towards a new calling.
The Skeptic’s Approach to Energy Healing
What struck me about Curtis’s approach was his initial skepticism. He didn’t just accept energy healing at face value. Instead, he approached it with a healthy dose of curiosity and, surprisingly, a desire to prove it wrong. “I was more or less seeking them out to prove them wrong. …wasn’t really seeking them out for any other reason. I was like, okay, I just got to get rid of this idea in my mind that there is some more to me,” Curtis explained.
The Transformation: From Doubt to Dedication
As Curtis delved deeper into this world, he found himself transformed. He described becoming “like a junkie,” seeking out healing sessions weekly and investing significant time and money in his personal growth. This dedication led to profound realizations about the nature of personal growth. He candidly shared, “When you work on yourself, it shakes you and you start to see parts of yourself that you get scared of and facing those parts of yourself is not easy.”
Energy Healing: A Path to Self-Empowerment
During our conversation, Curtis and I explored the transformative power of his practice. I shared my own experience from a session with him, describing a powerful realization: “What I realized, and I’ve always known this, but what I realized it was brought to my attention very strongly in that session was you created all of this. Like I created the anxiety. I created the lack of confidence in situations. I created any feeling that I was having.” This understanding is at the core of what this work can offer – a profound recognition of our own power to shape our experiences and emotions.
The Future of Healing: Making It Accessible
One of the most inspiring aspects of our conversation was Curtis’s vision for the future. He expressed a desire to make the benefits of this work more accessible, acknowledging that not everyone has the time or resources for extensive healing work. “I realized that not all of us are going to have the right circumstances and maybe we’re at points in our lives where we don’t have the energy to work with so many healers to get to a place we’d like to be at,” he explained. Curtis is exploring ways to help people achieve breakthroughs more quickly, without the need for years of intensive work.
Embracing Optimal Living
Towards the end of our conversation, Curtis shared a recent revelation that’s guiding his path forward. During a meditation session with a friend, he received the word “optimal.” This led to a deep exploration of what it means to live an optimal life, focusing on areas like saying yes to things he’s been afraid of, having fun and being present in the moment, trying new things, and increasing social opportunities. These focus areas represent a beautiful balance of personal growth, joy, and connection – key elements of a fulfilling life.
Final Thoughts
My conversation with Curtis Knuth was a powerful reminder of the transformative potential of personal growth work. His journey from skeptic to practitioner, and his ongoing commitment to making this work accessible, is truly inspiring. As we navigate our own paths of growth and self-discovery, Curtis’s story encourages us to remain open, curious, and committed to our personal evolution. Whether you’re a skeptic, a believer, or somewhere in between, there’s wisdom to be found in exploring the depths of our own potential.
