THE PODCAST | 1:1 COACHING | INSTAGRAM
What if finding your happiest, most fulfilling life wasn’t about hustling harder—but about leaning into what feels right? In this episode, I sit down with entrepreneur, coach, and published author Katelyn Anne Marie to chat about the magic that happens when you follow your passions, trust your instincts, and embrace the path of least resistance. Her journey from published author to marketing strategist and coach is a testament to the power of following your passions, even when they lead you somewhere unexpected.
Embracing the path of least resistance
Katelyn has been doing coaching and consulting for about 7 years and founded her own marketing agency, Nurtured Marketing, 2 years ago. Her mission is to help her clients build a lifestyle that feels vibrant and nurturing, balancing their work with what really matters to them personally.
One of the main questions Katelyn asks her clients is, “What is the path of least resistance for you?” This question reveals unnecessary challenges we sometimes create for ourselves whether it’s creating too many tasks to accomplish our goals or trying to get a full 1-hour workout in daily. By choosing a simpler path and starting with a smaller habit, like a 10-minute workout for example, people can achieve consistency and long-term success without the stress.
Balancing personal growth and professional pursuits
We also dive into the personal transformations that both Katelyn and I have experienced. For me, it started with boudoir photography and evolved into a coaching career. For Katelyn, her journey into the world of personal development started when she chose to go to therapy as a teenager, and then began yoga in college, which helped her understand more about self-empowerment and the control she has over her own life.
Through her self-development journey, she has come to recognize that we don’t need someone to “fix” us. We have the power to change our own lives. Therapy and coaching often tend to be perceived as things only for those who are struggling, but in reality, they are opportunities for those who are looking for personal growth.
Creating a life you love
When talking about work, Katelyn said that it’s not only important to love what you do, but actively choose to love it every single day. This is such an important reminder, especially with the significant amount of time we dedicate to our careers. While not everything will be enjoyable, the challenge is to find joy and meaning in the process, embracing both the fun and the difficult aspects of our professional lives.
The role of community and relationships
One other thing we touched on was the impact of community and the connections we share with the people in our lives. Oftentimes, family and friends want to keep us safe, which can translate into resistance to change. However, pursuing what we love can empower us to challenge these thoughts, explore new possibilities, and ultimately lead us to more fulfilling lives.
Final thoughts
Katelyn’s story shows just how powerful it is to stand up for yourself, keep growing, and do what you love. I hope this conversation gets you thinking about what’s possible in your own life. Are you being intentional? Are you creating a balance between life and work that actually makes you happy? Consider this your invite to explore, figure out what truly lights you up, and lean into opportunities for growth and connection.
